Our Mission

‘Agrico’ has been established in year 2006 to protect the interest of farmers. To make available good quality agriculture inputs to the farmers at reasonable rates. Fertilizers, certified seeds and pesticides are the main agricultural inputs being provided by our society. We supply these agricultural inputs mainly through its branches, Agrico Krishi Seva Kendra, Kray-Vikray Sahakari Samiti and other cooperative societies.

Governance

Its governance is aligned with Cooperative Values, Byelaws of Society and the Multi-State Cooperative Societies Act & Rules 2002 and (Amendment) Acts & Rules, 2023.

The Society follows transparent processes and is guided by its Bye-laws, internal audits, and statutory reviews to ensure accountability and good governance.

Indian Agriculture Marketing

Indian Agriculture Marketing Cooperative Limited is Registered under the Ministry of Cooperation, Govt of India under section 7 of the Multi State Cooperative Societies Act 2002 (39 of 2002) and the rules framed thereunder. The Registration Number of the society is MSCS/CR/233/2006. Society is to function as per the provisions of the MSCS Act & Rules, 2002 and with MSCS (Amendment) Act & Rules, 2023.

Management

AGRICO’s Management is based on its bylaws which represent transparency, democratic governance, and accountability. They ensure the safety of members’ rights and responsibility, and guide the operations of the society.

The bylaws of AGRICO make sure that the Management of society is working efficiently and ethically to fulfil its objectives and benefits to its members.

Board of Directors

The Board of directors have 17 members, including elected Individual’s members and nominated/co-opted members representing shareholder societies. Two Board seats are reserved for elected women directors and one for a Scheduled Caste/Tribes representative. Managing Director of Society is also member of board of directors.

Members

AGRICO was formed with 100 individual members and 2 cooperative societies and now At present society has a total of 2818 members. Which have 1553 Individual Members, 67 Cooperative Societies and 1265 Associates/Nominal Members.

By-laws & Rules

Our Multistate Cooperative Society functions in accordance with the By-laws of our society & The MSCS Act & Rules 2002, amended 2023 and Society registered with Central Registrar Cooperative Societies, Ministry of Cooperation, New Delhi. These rules ensure transparency, accountability, and democratic participation.

Objectives

The objectives of the Society is to carry on the business of marketing, storing, handling, transporting and processing agricultural produce, including horticultural produce, medicinal produce, floral vegetable produce, forest produce and allied agricultural produce, manure, chemical fertilizers, Organic Fertilizers, Organic and Composted Manures, Seeds, Pesticides and Plant Protection Medicines (Pesticides) Agricultural Chemicals, Agricultural Inputs, Agricultural Machines, Irrigation Equipment’s, All types of goods and commodities used in agriculture, Bags, Packing Goods, Farmers and general public goods, consumer goods marketing, supply, distribution, warehousing, handling, transport business, manufacture, expansion, development and business of warehouses under warehousing, Agricultural allied or agricultural utility, traditional and intra-state, inter-state, import-export business, distributor wholesaler, representative and agent business, cooperation in agriculture and rural development, assistance in cooperative marketing, assistance in technological development in agriculture; to undertake such other activities which are conducive and incidental thereto and to promote the economic interest of its members by conducting its affairs in professional, democratic and autonomous manner through self-help and mutual co-operation.

To develop technology and to improve the economic condition of its members by initiating activities relevant to them, to execute their activities on the basis of professional, democratic, and autonomy through volunteerism and mutual cooperation. For the fulfilment of these objectives, activities are being done by society.
